Once when I was far from home, studying in France for a year during my sophomore year of college, I was attending a Mozart concert in Salzburg, Austria, on a cold January night. There in the foyer of the concert hall was Doug Border! I was so surprised to see him and so happy to see a familiar face...another student from GHS who loved music as much as I did. Doug accompanied me and the other two girls from my school who were with me to a small restaurant where we all had a glass of wine and talked a million miles a minute about familiar places and things. It is a very happy memory.
