Chuckie was probably the first person I knew when I moved to Gaithersburg in the 9th grade. My older brother, who happened to be my legal guardian, had been flying out of the Montgomery County Airpark for a couple of years prior to our moving to Gaithersburg and I had seen Chuck at the airport many times when with my brother.
He was always pleasant and had a smile on his face!

Chuckie was always clowning around. What a smile, and I can still hear his laughter. You made school a happier place. Thank you.

I'll never forget 1969 Halloween, Chuck and I wanted this Pumpkin so bad. We rolled it for almost two hundred feet to the rear of his car (Mustangs are not noted for having the biggest trunk). When we attempted to pick it up it must have weighted two hundred pounds and would not fit in his car. We were laughing so hard and loud the owner of the house came out. Not to worry, Chuckie always had a fast get-a-way. We left the Pumpkin, no Pumpkin all we had was laughter and memories....

I don't remember when I met Chuckie, but we lived on the same road, Emory Grove Road, at almost extreme ends. We rode the school bus together for as long as he lived on my road which could have been our whole school career. He always had a smile and was fun to be with.
