I started Bowie State College in '69 and one day (as a freshman), I spotted Kathie. We had an easy friendship on campus, although a brief one. We would often watch TV together in the student union. I don't remember when she left school and it pains me now not to remember. I had no idea she had passed away. She was a warm and free spirit.
